Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 2 to lay the foundation at NMPT

Mangaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the city on September 2, to dedicate development works, and lay the foundation for works worth Rs 1,200 crore, at the New Mangalore Port Authority.

The event is likely to be held at Goldfinch City in Kuloor. “It is a government programme, and the venue will be finalised soon. The PM will be arriving from Kochi around 3.15 pm. From 4.15pm to 5.15 pm, he will participate in the programme. Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and Union ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Pralhad Joshi are expected to be present.

The administration is hoping that the PM will inaugurate works taken up under the Mangaluru Smart City Limited.
