Mangalore: The ambitious Sakala Scheme, the Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizens Act has been implemented successfully in the district
According to Deputy commissioner Dr NS Channappa Gowda all applications under the scheme have been disposed as early as possible. He said 50,820 Sakala applications were received in April, 64,242 applications in May and 67,503 applications in July. The total applications received in August and September stood at 77,947 and 38, 594 respectively.
He said 8,332 and 25,097 applications were disposed in March and April, 70,313 in August and 25,097 in September. The DC also said that so far no official in DK has been fined for not disposing applications on time excluding four who have been served notices seeking explanation for the delay.
