Samatha Women’s Association felicitated top scoring students

Mangalore : The Samatha Women’s Association organized the event to felicitate the grand children and children of the members of Association, at Subramanya Sabha, near jail Road on July 24, Saturday.

Around 5 students scoring 90 percent and above marks in the board examinations were felicitated with a shawl, memento and the cash prize.  The achievers are Akanksha Hebbar, Manisha Daithota, Neeraj Holla, Kiran and Chaitra.

Speaking after receiving the honour, Chaitra said that it was a happiest moment to be honoured in the society. This kind of felicitation has encouraged her to work harder in the future.

She also thanked her parents for encouraging and inspiring her to put more effort on her studies.
Harikrishna Punaroor, former president of DK District Kannada Sahitha Parishat was the chief guest on the occasion. Kathyaini Sitaram, president of association presided over the function.

Vishalakshi Rao, former president, Poornima Pejawar, secretary, Vani Jayaram were present on the dais.
Later Chaitra entertained the audience with her classical dance on the occasion.
