Udupi : State Minister for Energy, Kannada and Culture V Sunil Kumar has said that the administrative process to stop the Surathkal toll gate is in the final stage and the toll gate will be closed by November end.

He was speaking to reporters here on October 22, Saturday. The Minister however refused to comment when asked about the trolling of Congress leader Pratibha Kulai.

On the demand to include Tulu in the 8th schedule of the Constitution, the minister said even the state government had raised the issue with the Centre.

He also said, Tulu teachers were appointed through the Tulu academy. They were paid honorary amount and not salaries. After Covid, this has been discontinued. The issue has come to my notice. I will discuss it with the education department.
