Mangaluru : The National Investigation Agency raided PA engineering college at Nadupadavu near Konaje on January 5, Thursday and took a student into custody for allegedly having links with a terror suspect who was an accused in the experimental blast that took place on the banks of river Tunga near Purale in Shivamogga.

It is said that the student who was pursuing final year mechanical engineering hailed from Udupi and was in touch with Maz Muneer who was associated with the reported experimental blast on the Tunga river bank near Purale in Shivamogga.

The student who was taken into custody is said to be in close contact with Maz Muneer who also did his engineering from the same college.

It may be recalled here that Syed Yasin, Maz Muneer and Shariq were arrested in connection with the experimental blast at Tunga river bank. Shariq is already in NIA custody in connection with the cooker bomb blast case in Mangaluru.
