Vaishnavi Ballal bags GRAND LEVEL Abacus Championship

Mangalore : Vaishnavi Ballal a proficient Abacist, studying in class VII in Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangalore has won the Championship at the National level competition in the ‘Grand Level’ held at Chennai, first time in the history of  Dakshina Kannada, said Dr. Rajesh Ballal.


Speaking at the press meet, her father Dr. Rajesh Ballal, Prof. and HOD of Surgery, Justice K S Hegde Medical Academy, said that Vaishnavi was awarded the prize in Chennai by the Counsel General of Malaysia, on 17 July 2010.


Her mother, Vasundara, a well known artist, said that Vaishnavi will be participating in the international level competition in Malaysia on November, 2010.


Vaishnavi is under the guidance of Mr. K Vinayak Prabhu, a renowned teacher of Fast Arithmetic for the last four years. She is a past state champion and a national level runner-up. The UCMAS India has awarded sponsorship for her participation at the International level competition to be held in Malaysia in November 2010, she added.
