Mangaluru : A yakshagana artist who was working in several Yakshagana melas committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday, November 18.

Keerthan Shetty Vagenadu,committed suicide at his house at Mudipu, near Muloor.

Keerthan was working in several Yakshagana melas including Bappanadu. He has been serving in Yakshagana for many years.

The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
