Ullal : A young businessman committed suicide by hanging himself in his shop at Thokottu junction on Monday, April 10.

The deceased is identified as Praveen Alva (44), a resident of Kaneerthota.

He was running a shop supplying raw materials to tailoring shops since eight years near Thokkottu Junction.

Praveen left his home at 6:30 am today and was found hanging from a fan inside his shop. In a chit that was found near the dead body, Praveen has written that he is himself responsible for the extreme step.

Alva is survived by his mother, wife, and a son. The Ullal Police Station has registered a case and is investigating the matter
