1 arrested, 3 escape in Wild animal hunting case

deer huntBelthangady: Forest department officers of wildlife division found four hunting deer, managed to arrest only one while the others from the gang managed to escape. Biju alias Jagadish (42), a resident of Malenkallu in Nelyadi was arrested person while it was learnt from him that three others who escaped are Abdul Rahiman (45) of Kaukrady in Puttur, Rafiq (40) a resident of Nelyadi and Hyderali (38) from Mundaje village in Belthangady. They were hunting wild animals in Kudremukh national garden in Koodubettu in Mitthabagilu village.

The police have seized a Bolero jeep, a gun used for hunting and bullets and dead body of a male stag. On hearing a gun shot inside the forest the officers laid stones to stop, the hunters who were moving in a Bolero jeep and stop the vehicle. A police bike was made to chase the Bolero jeep, while Shrinath M. Kadolkar, zonal forest officer of wildlife division of forest department along with the team where waiting for the jeep. But the Bolero, tried to ram into the police bike and the police personnel jumped and saved himself and was unhurt while Bolero jeep came to a stop after bike was crushed under it and came to a halt.

Biju was caught by the police. Forest department, Three accused managed to flee from the site. The police have arrest and registered a case.
