Mangalore : A 17year old boy who went to enjoy a swim along with three of his friends in Gurupur river near Adyapady dam on March 2, Saturday met a watery grave when he was caught in the  currents.

The deceased is Nihal Bangera, a first year BBM Student  of SDM College and son of Keshav and Ratna Bangera of Barke.

It is learnt he along with three others set out to the dam area in bikes to enjoy the day as their exams just got over that day.

However, the merriment turned tragic and Nihal could not be saved despite efforts.

Kavoor police have registered a case.
