Mangalore :  Two teenagers met a watery grave in the river at Bengre on October 13, Saturday. The deceased are Marsook (13), son of Ameer, and Nameer (14), son of Basheer.

If Marsook was a standard VIII student of Government High School, Bengre, the other boy was studying in ninth standard at Badria School, Kandak.

The boys in order to enjoy holidays had been to the river to swim along with their friends only to be swept away. Though locals rushed to the rescue of the boys, it was of no use. It is learnt, the water was deep at the spot where the boys were swimming as dredging had been done there there a month ago.

The bodies have been recovered.Panambur police have registered a case.
