Belthangady : A two year old girl child who was missing from her house near Janthigoli in Sulkeri village since August 10, Monday, has been found dead in a river near the house on Tuesday.

The deceased child is Drithvi, daughter of Subhash-Suchitra couple.

The child was found missing after the mother and grandmother of the child who had gone to collect grass, has returned.

It is suspected that the child which was playing might have gone near the river in her search for her mother.
