Moodbidri : Dr Gopal Mugeraya, Dean (Student Welfare) of NITK, Suratkal, has called upon new engineering graudates to undergo a minimum of eight week training on communication and information technology.
Speaking as a chief guest at the first graduation day ceremony of Dr MV Shetty Institute of Technology, he said though 4.8 lakh engineering graduates are created in India every year, only ahandful of them are successful in adapting themselves to their profession and industry.
Ravi BS, Director of Mind Tree Consulting, Bangalore, was also present as a chief guest. Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, Founder Secretary of Dr MV Shetty Memorial Trust,. Dr Jayaram Hegde, Administrative Officer, Trustees, Dr Hima Urmila Shetty and Dr Divyanjali Shetty were present.
A total of 138 students who passed in BE courses were awarded degree certificates on the occasion.
