Mangalore: Eight teams will compete with each other for the FIRST PRIZE JACKPOT OF RS 2 LAKHS during the grand finale of the popular Tulu comedy show ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-II”.
The finals will be held on 29th June 2014, Sunday, at Shastavu Shree Bhoothanatheshwara Temple premises at Badaga Yedapadavu, Mijar, Mangalore. The programme will commence at 11 a.m. and continue till the end of the competition. The finalists will include some of the winners of ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-I” Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, said in a press conference held at press club today.
His Holiness Sri Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Shiroor Math, Sri Abhayachandra Jain, Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries and Youth services & Sports and Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP have consented to grace the programme. Actors Shivadwaj and Yajna Shetty along with acclaimed Music Director Gurukiran are the celebrities who will attend the programme.
Total of 32 teams entered into the fray with the first audition which took place on Sunday, 19th January, 2014 and passed through various stages of elimination to reach the finals. The top 8 teams of ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-II’ competed with the top 8 of ‘Bale Thelipaale Season-I’ in the semi finals.
The eight finalists are: (1) Harini Kalavider, Farangipete; (2) Prashamsha, Kaup; (3) Shobha Rai & Team; (4) Thelikeda Tenali; (5) Friends, Mangalore; (6) Umesh & Team, Mijar; (7) Kudlada Thelikeda Kalavida & Team, Mangalore and (8) Abhinaya, Udupi. Two more teams may gain direct lateral entry into the finals if they qualify.
The performances will be judged by Sri Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, Chief Co-ordinator of Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple and Dr Shivasharan, Director of NammaTV.
The prizes are as follows:
· First Prize – Rs. 2 lakhs
· Second Prize – Rs. 1.5 lakh
· Third Prize – Rs. 1 lakh
· Fourth Prize – Rs. 75,000/-
· Fifth Prize – Rs. 50,000/-
· Sixth Prize – Rs. 25,000/-
Special prizes will be given for ‘Best Script’ and ‘Best Female Character’.
‘Bale Thelipaale’ is organized by Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple in association with NammaTV. Capsule of the show is telecast on NammaTV every Monday to Friday from 8:15 to 8.45p.m with repeat at 10.30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Date of telecast will be announced on NammaTV through the regular promos.
