Mangalore  : Noted scholar KN Govindacharya has stressed the need for an alternative leadership for the country.

Speaking at a Paryaya Rajneethi programme held at Town Hall on September 30, Monday, he  said the present government was favouring more of corporate rather than the common man.

He  also alleged that land mafia was acting in collusion with political leaders. He also alleged that  educational institutions have been commercialized.

Economist Jagadish Shettigar, thinker M C Raj among others were present.
