23.06.10 Mangalore : The Bishop of Mangalore Dioceses Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza arrived in front of DC Office and rendered his support to Gregory Patrao’s fight for justice on the seventh day of the protest on June 23, Wednesday.
Addressing the protest he urged the protestors to follow the path of Jesus Christ, who condemned injustice and fought against injustice. He said that the organization is against illegal activities but not against development.
Rendering his support for the protest, Bishop said that, around 23 organizations including Catholic Sabha, Citizens Forum for Mangalore Development, Vimukthi Trust, Bandavya Trust, and Canara Organization for Development and Peace are supporting Patrao in his fight.
The protest was staged by the Catholic Sabha of Mangalore under the leadership of President Walter Cyril Pinto and Secretary Godwin Pinto.
Fr. William Menezes, Public Relations Officer of Mangalore and Fr. Onil D’Souza, Director of Canara Organization for Development and Peace (CODP) were present.
