Mangalore : One of the accused, who had vandalized the tollgate at Brahmarakootlu, has succeeded in escaping from the police after he was admitted at the hospital for treatment.

The accused identified as Muhammed Shamir alias Shammi was identified by the police department who was captured in the CCTV camera, while he was indulged in vandalizing the toll gate. The police who got the information of being admitted had deployed tow police personnel’s at Hospital who were waiting for his discharge, but the accused ran away at late night on April 27, Sunday.

As per the direction of Dakshina Kannada district SP Dr Sharanappa, Bantwal police circle inspector Rajshekar Maistry and police constable Sheshappa was posted at the hospital at time, who failed to keep an eye on the accused, hence SP suspended both the personnel’s.

SP, also directed the home guard superintendent to take action against home guards staffs, who was posted on duty at the time.
