Mangalore : Kankanady police arrest a group of three right wing activists for assaulting three persons transporting cattle at Pumpwell on Saturday, August 23 night.
The cattle traffickers who have been assaulted are identified as Fayaz, Sadiq and Shoukath Ali Permannur residents of Chembugudde.
It is learnt that, the three people were transporting 13 cattle a vehicle bearing Kerala registration number from Uppinangady towards Mangalore, when they were approached by a group, who later thrashed them.
The police, who reached the spot, control the situation and arrested Prakash, Manoj and Shivaraj for the assault.
The police have also taken vehicle and the cattle to the police station.
A case has been registered at Kankanady police station and investigations are on.
