Mangaluru : Superintendent of Police Dr S D Sharanappa inaugurated the new office of retired Police Officers’ Welfare Association in Dakshina Kannada district at district police headquarters here on Wednesday, December 17th.

Speaking after inauguration Sharanappa said, the police serving to society with a good aim, the police personal doing their duty’s only, society do not think negative roll on them. He said we should always be a sense of pride and self­ confidence among retired police officers for rendering their service to the country.

S K Poonja, retired superintendent of police and honorary president of the association, Vasanth Kumar –retired assistant sub-­inspector, officer bearers of retired policemen’s association – Udupi district and many retired police officers were present during the ceremony.

B J Bhandary president of the association welcomed the gathering and Manjunath secretary of the association proposed vote of thanks.
