Mangaluru : The five members of a Christian family returned to Hindu religion in the presence of activists of Hindu organizations here on Wednesday May 6.
Saraswati(55), Rajesh (22), Raji (25), Rati (23) and Rakesh (18) were become Hindus. They were residents of Muchilakody in Konaje.
The re—conversion rituals were held under the guidance of Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Mutt Gurpur. A Tulsi plant was planted in the house courtyard after the rituals. Pictures of Hindu deities were placed at the altar.
Saraswati had married a Catholic named Raju about three decades ago. It is said that Raju had promised Saraswati and her family members that he would get converted to Hinduism after marriage, instead he converted Saraswati to Christianity.
Rajesh, son of Saraswati, said that they embraced Hinduism on their own accord.
