Mangalore : Tulu film Chaali Polilu completes its 250 days in Mangaluru on July 7. The video rights of Tulu film, Chaali Polilu, has been sold for Rs. 11 lakh, according to its producer Prakash Pandeshwar.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, he said, the film produced with a budget of Rs. 60 lakh opened in 11 cinemas. It was screened for 75 days in five cinemas and 100 days in three cinemas. It is now being screened in one cinema in the city, he said.
He said that the video rights for producing VCDs of the film were bagged by a music house in Mangaluru.
In addition to cinemas in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, the film was screened in cinemas in Bengaluru, Kasaragod, Madikeri, Mumbai and Pune and Bahrain.
Mr. Prakash said that the film would be screened in Australia by this month-end. It would be screened again in Bengaluru and Mumbai next week.
Chali Polilu is directed by Ravindra Shetty Kavoor.
