Mangaluru : T.D.Nagaraj, was suspended for allegedly assaulting a lawyer and their was a demanded that the inspector should also be arrested, but the commissioner of Police as stated that the suspension has been revoked and he is posted as incharge of Bajpe Police station.

Nagaraj, as inspector at Kadri police station, was suspended on July 31 after lawyers led by Mangaluru bar association president Chengappa for detaining and assaulting lawyer Uttam Rai when the latter had come with a client to Kadri police station.The lawyers had given three days time following their demanded to arrest Nagaraj Nagaraj, had also filed a counter case against Uttam Rai for the one he filed. Also, it is learnt that orders were issued by police commissioner on Tuesday August 11.shifting Nagaraj from Kadri police station and appointing him as incharge of Bajpe police station.

Mangaluru bar association president Chengappa condemned this move.
