Mangalore : Tulu commercial music album ‘Kadal Da Udal’ was released at a special programme organized by the team of the music at Don Bosco Hall on Dec 28, Tuesday.
Sitaram Kulal, president of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy inaugurated the event and said that there are many voices arousing from the sea which creates fear and joy, likewise the music also gives both the feeling to the people. It depends on the music lovers how they take it.
He also said writing a lyrics for the song is a difficult task and after hearing the music and lyrics of these songs it gives a pleasant feeling. Further the team must continue this work more to safeguard tulu languages through music.
At present day people show less love and respect towards tulu language and culture but after the World Tulu Convention held at Ujire made the people proud of their language. The team has taken good initiative to donate a part of the profit gained through the sales of Cd to the orphanages and it is a good sign for societal development, he added.
M Mohan Alva, president of Alva’s Education Foundation released the Cd of ‘Kadal da Udal’ on the occasion.
Mayur Shetty, producer of the music album welcomed the guests and gathering.
Ramachandra Baikampady of Katrnataka Fisheries Development Corporation and Chandrahas Rai, registrar of Tulu Sahithya Academy were present on the dais. Composer and singer Sudhakar Shetty and singer Ratnamala purandhar sand a song from the album.
