Udupi: Ever since Udupi businessman Bhaskar Shetty was murdered, his mother Gulabi has been supervising the functioning of Durga International Hotel; however, it is said that recently, Rajeshwari Shetty’s sisters along with four others forcibly entered the hotel premises and threatened the staff.
Balakrishna Alva, manager of the hotel registered a complaint at Udupi city police station against Renuka Rai, Roopa Shetty and four others.
It is said that when Bhaskar Shetty was abroad, the hotel was run by Sandesh Shetty, but after Bhaskar’s murder, his mother had taken over.
It is said that Rajeshwari’s sisters with four others entered the hotel and abused Balakrishna and Sandesh and also threatened them to life. It is said that they returned the next day and threatened them.
Sources say that as per Bhaskar Shetty’s will, all his property would be given to his mother. Accordingly, Shetty’s wife and son would not be given anything and it is suspected this might have been the reason behind the threat.
