Belthangady: Former Chief Minister and JD(S) state president, HD Kumaraswamy along with wife Anita Kumaraswamy and actor son Nikhil Kumaraswamy were on a piligrimage tour from the past few days.
The family paid visit to various prominent temples including Sri Krishna Mutt, Udupi, Sri Mookambika Temple, Kollur, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Temple, Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya Temple, Subramanya and Sri Kalabhairaveshwara Temple, Mandya.
At a press gathering in Dharmasthala he stated that the Ifthar Koota controversy at Udupi is purely controversial. He questioned Pramod Mutalik on his protest against the same and asked as who gave the rights to speak on behalf of Hindus. He further said that the Iftar koota has set an example for communal harmony amongst all and the swamiji has sent a good message to the society.
When asked on his motive behind his pilgrimage tour he said that he was visiting places to seek the blessings for his party to win the next elections and to form a government in the state.
On the farm loan waiver by the CM, Kumaraswamy said it was of no use as the government has laid down 14 conditions for the same.
Kumaraswamy offered Tulabhara Seve at Dharmasthala and Ashlesha Bali at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple.
