Mangalore : The Renovation and Brahmakalashotsava of Kanakapady Sri Mahavishnu Temple, Kudaalu Merkala will be held from January 30, Sunday to February 7, Monday, said K B Balakrishna Rai, owner of Navadurga Motars and president of renovation Committee.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Srinivas on Jan 29. Saturday he said that the colourful horekanike will start from Permude Sri Durgaparameshwari Bhajana Mandir on Jan 30 at 2 pm.
On Feb 1, Muzrai minister Sri Kadannapalli Ramachandran will inaugurate the stage programme, while MLA C N Kunambu will preside over the event. Sri Keshavananda Bharathi Swamiji will deliver the benedictory speech on the occasion. Lok Sabha member P Karunakaran will participate the as the chief guest.
Dharmastala Dharmadarshi Dr D Veerendra Heggade will deliver the main speech on Jan 30. Sri Narendranath Yogeshwarareshwara Swamiji will deliver the benedictory speech. Padmanabha Tantri will preside over the event and B Nagaraj Shetty, chairman of Coastal Development Authority and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Abhaychandra Jain and Dr M Mohan Alva will be the chief guest.
Kudaalu Balakrishna Shetty, Kudaalu Balakrishna Bhandary, A Vishwanath Shetty and Rajaram Shetty were present at the press meet.
