Mangaluru : Minister for Urban Development and Housing  U T Khader asked  the Deputy commissioner to handle the head scarf controversy in-side the classroom of St Agnes College.

Speaking to media at DC office, Khader said, “St Agnes College has a great history and is a pioneer of education in the state. A few people are trying to defame it, he said.

A girl student received  a threat call from abroad compelling her to support the hijab issue. If she is ready to file a complaint, we will definitely take action, Khader said.

We are hoping that the issue will have a peaceful ending, he added.
