Mangalore: The Lokayukta Police today caught red-handed, the Bajpe Head Constable Subhas Chandra when he was seeking a bribe of Rs.1 lac from Belthangady Ashraf to return his passport.
Lokayukta SP Jagamayanvar said here today that action was taken following Ashraf’s complaint against the Bajpe HC. Ashraf had told LA police a few days ago that Subhash was harassing him, holding up the passport for a graft of Rs.1 lac to return the document.
LA Police officer Uday Naik told the media today that Ashraf worked in the Arabian Gulf region and had to go back soon.
