Mangaluru : A state level Co-operative Week  to be celebrated from November 14 to 20 in twin districts, as part of this SCDCC Bank Ltd organised the celebrations on Novemberat the TV Raman Pai Auditorium.

Speaking to reporters here on November 13, Friday, SCDCC Bank Chairman Dr. M. N. Rajendra Kumar said the event will be inaugurated by State Minister for Co-operation S T Somashekhar at the TV Raman Pai Auditorium at 10 am on November 15. The theme of this year’s celebration is Responsibility and Role of Co-operative Societies in Post-Covid times.

Pointing out that the Union Government has permitted the State Co-operative Marketing Federation to sell generic medicines through the co-operative field, he said during the Co-operative Week celebrations in Mangaluru, permission letter would be handed over symbolically to five Primary Co-operative and Credit Societies of the district to open generic medicine stores.

Outstanding co-operative stores will be honoured during the function. A co-operative jatha will also be taken out from SCDCC Bank up to the function venue.

A special issue of Sahakara Patrike will be released on the occasion while outstanding Navodaya Self-Help Groups will also be honoured.
