Bantwal : A fire mishap at a residential complex close by Aladka mosque in Panemangalore has gutted all belongings in the house including cash and gold on Tuesday night.

The house belonged to businessman Haneef Hasco. The family members were away to attend the funeral of a relative when fire broke out in the house, it is said.

It is suspected that an electric short circuit would have caused the fire. Electric and electronic equipment, furniture, clothes, gold ornaments and cash were among the things which burnt down.

Fire tender vehicle from Bantwal rushed to the spot and doused the fire. However by then most of the things in the house were gutted including Rs 50,000 cash, 20 sovereigns gold and other valuable documents.
