Mangaluru : All India protest call given by various trade unions, members of the trade unions took out a protest march and staged a protest in the city on March 29, Tuesday.
Addressing the protestors, CITU District General Secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal, alleged that the Narendra Modi government which came to power giving false assurances, has only protected the interests of the corporate companies while making a move to sell off the assets of the nation.
It has amended the labour laws which were a result of organised fight of the workers and has brought about rules favouring the corporate sector. The working class hit hard by price rise and in the absence of social security is finding it hard to lead a good life, he said.
AITUC District leader Seetaram Berinja, Bank Employees Association leader Vincent D’Souza, INTUC leader Bondala Chittaranjan Shetty, AICCTU leader Mohan, Bank Employees Association State President Raghava K, CITU District President J Balakrishna Shetty and others addressed the protestors.
