Mangalore: Everyone should have an idea of law of the land before one can stamp out crimes taking place around in proper time. If everyone as citizens knows the laws, criminal groups will leave the society. Then peace and goodwill will prevail in human society, and life becomes progressive and pleasant, said Justice HN Nagamohandas of KHC, in charge of DK dt events.
He was speaking today at a function in Moodabidri, after laying the foundation stones for a residential Colony of Judicial and court complex costing Rs.4 crores for civil and first grade sessions Judges Courts.
Dwelling on courts, he explained that they existed to provide justice to the victims of injustice. The judicial fraternity can provide justice only when they are honest in service, he said. Hundreds of cases for small purposes are in courts putting pressure on judges on the lawyers for justice. Law minister Suresh Kumar was present on the occasion. MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Chief Dt Judge H.R Deshpande welcomed.
