Mangalore: The Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath held a third general meeting at Nethravathi Hall of ZP on August 18, Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by ZP CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this was his first meeting as the CEO and DK ZP must become a model ZP in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Congress leader Mohammed, said that the ZP meeting must take place once in 45 days, but the the meeting here is not held accordingly. Hence he urged the CEO to conduct meeting according to the rule. But ZP president Shailaja Bhat said that the ZP is conducting meeting and hence forth make sure to hold in every 45 days.
She also said that the ZP is working to bring out the telephone directory and other informational handouts in coming days.
CEO Vijayprakash said that in district 113 schools have been given the computer facility as a part of Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan, but no maintenance is done, hence it must be reported and maintained.
District Congress Women’s president Mamatha Gatty said that the there is a rule in government schools where one teacher must be for every 30 children, but this is not followed in Aided school. Hence the teacher must be appointed in every aided schools, she said.
In response to it, Vijayaprakash said considering it, the counseling will be held tomorrow will be postponed and discuss with the authorities.
Janardhan Gowda and Naveen Kumar were also present.
