Mangalore: Regarding yesterday’s terror attack on Delhi High Court, the lawyers of Mangalore district court staged a protest under the aegis of Mangalore Bar Association on September 8, Thursday in front of the Court demanding the greater security arrangements at the court premises.
The city lawyers wearing red ribbons, condemned the Delhi High Court blast and demanded security upgradation for the local Court.
Speaking on the occasion S P Chengappa, president of the Association said that Mangalore is a soft target for anti-social elements unlike other courts in the state.
He urged the concerned authorities to provide security by implementing CCTVs, metal detectors and police outpost at the Court premises.
He also said that frequent complaints concerning safety of advocates and judiciary had not been solved by the police.
