Mangalore: Minister of Horticulture, S.A. Ravindranath visited Kadri Park on Monday, January 23 in city and asked for a facelift to it by end of 2012. It will be a mini “Lal Bagh” (in Bangalore), at a cost of Rs5 crores, he told pressmen.
Soft land-scaping, ornamental security grills, laterite walls, storage tank, illumination, and a fountain structure are among the projects to come up. A bonsai(tiny tress) garden, and a children’s play ground will also be built during the year of re-construction.

In the last budget, a sum of Rs753 crores was allotted to horticulture.This year, he has asked for Rs2,000 crores to clear new roadblocks, he said.
