Udupi: A tipper Van and an autorickshaw had a ghastly collision at Kumragodu, in Brahmavara near here, on Saturday morning (9AM), in which the driver riding the rickshaw a local resident, died on the spot.

The tipper Van of Shama Tiles was on its way from Kundapur to Udupi, while the autorickshaw was taking a turn at the Kumragodu cross road.

Brahmavara police have registered a case of accident. The usual traffic on NH 66 was disturbed for a short time, due to the mishap. The police on arrival cleared the long line of waiting vehicles.
