Mangalore: A total of 67 turtles worth over Rs 6 lakh were seized from a resident of Bondel in Mangalore by the forest officials of Bangalore CID on May 25, Friday. The arrest took place under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.

The arrested has been identified as Rohison Wilson D’Souza.  He was apprehended from the Ratna Sheraton Hotel at Kulur. The forest officials entrusted the custody of D’Souza to Kavoor police. The accused has been produced before the court and remained to judicial custody.
