Mangalore:  The number of persons arrested in connection with the brutal assault on Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy President Rahim Uchil has gone to four with the arrest of two more persons on Saturday.

The arrested are Abdul Basheer (27) from Suratkal and Hameed alias Saddam (21) from Kodikal. It is learnt, the police were on the lookout for the two since some days and could finally apprehend them.

Rahim Uchil was brutally attacked right at the Academy office in Mangalore on March 15 this year. Uchil who was in hospital for nearly two months, has now recovered is now back in action.

Others arrested in connection with the case are Umar Farooq alias Shan(20) and Abdul Saleem(33) from Bunder.
