Mangalore: A Book entitled “ Praani Pakshigala badukinalli dayapara manava’ was released  at a function held at SDM Law  College in Mangalore on August 26, Sunday under the auspices of the  the SLC Trust. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President, inaugurated the function.

Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Odiyoor, who blessed the occasion, emphasized the need to protect environment at a time when cities are turning into concrete jungles. It is only when we protect environment that can we protect the birds and animals, he added.

Dr KV Devappa, Bharath Jain, Gladys Rego and Suma R Nayak and several others who are  working for the welfare of birds and animals were honoured on the occasion.
