Mangalore: Hundreds of enthusiasts took part in a safety run organised from Bharath Mall to PVS in Mangalore on November 4, Sunday under the auspices of 92.7 Big FM and Total Lubricants.
The campaign was carried out in four phases to create awareness about drunken driving; against use of mobile phones when driving; against reckless driving habits and culminated with the ‘Total Quartz Safety Run’.
Former minster Krishna Palemar flagged off the rally. Uma Shankar,General Manager of Total Oil India and Vinay Kumar were also present.
Students of Canara CBSE presented a splendid band. Members of Lions Club led by Dr Aravind Rao Kedige, RX Life led by Gayathri Bhat and Giridhar Kamath, DK district bus owners association and auto association, Rotary Inner wheel, Roshni Nilaya Big Bazaar, Western Institute of Technology, SRS Global, MRPL, MCF, Mangala stadium walkers’ association, , St Ann’s school, St Aloysius College, and listeners of Big FM participated in the run.
Vaseem, station head, Mangalore, Alston Sequeira, senior sales manager, RJ Errol and RJ Varsha of Big FM, RJ Vishwas, programming head, Big FM and others were present.
