Mangalore : N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, who was a chief guest at the bi-decennial year celebrations of Seva Bharathi, a service organization, stressed the need for the society to serve for the cause of the differently abled people.
He said the differently abled children are a blessed lot and have given an opportunity for all of us to serve the society. He said charitable works will never face death of funds.
Swami Poornakamananda of Ramakrishna Mutt, who presided over the function, said God was present in everyone and we should serve god by serving the needy in the society.
Vasudeva Shenoy,Founder-Trustee of Seva Bharathi and Sumathi Shenoy, Trustee, were honoured on the occasion.
The differently abled children from Chethana Child Development Centre presented scenes from Hindu mythology while Roman and Catherine School for the Blind students presented a dance show.
