Mangalore : A fire broke out in the  first floor were post office is functioning. The incident took place on Tuesday and fired has been putout by fire service and post office employees.

The post office is situated in first floor of  DC  office. At around 12.15 an employee noticed fire in the wate bin it’s spread quickly to near by table and files. Beacause of the timely arrival of fire service and efforts of post office employees a major tragedy  has been averted.

Later speeking to the press Mr.Shivappe Gowda, a fire chief clarified that even though the fire was minor the room was filled with smoke and fire service parsonnale.
