Mangalore : Mangalore University authorities will decide on action to be taken against the associate professor of the sociology department, who was trapped by the Lokayukta for graft, after receiving a report from Lokayukta. Vice-chancellor TC Shivashankaramurthy said, “We are awaiting the report from police. We will look into the matter once we receive it. I have received the information about the arrest from the department chairman.
Anitha Ravishankar was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a PhD student on Tuesday. Sources in Lokayukta said the report may reach the university on Friday. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days on Tuesday night.-Times of India
