Bengaluru: Amid the protest of opposition the government passed five more bills on Friday in the Assembly. The opposition leaders didn’t left the house for a smooth discussion, without bothering the protest the government passed five bills.
Amending the Karnataka Forest Act to increase collection of forest development funds from mine owners, another amending the Karnataka Housing Board Act to empower the board to collect development and other fee from its housing layouts and apartments and exempting it from taking government permission for projects costing less than Rs 2.5 crores were also included in the passed bills.
Amendment which allows the DySp’s to hear the POSCO case instead of leaving it to the Regional Commissioners to do so, named as Karnataka Police Act was also passed during the session.
The opposition continued their protest demanding resignation of Bengaluru Developmental Minister K J George over DySP Ganapathi suicide case. Even after the Speaker K B Koliwada’s warning, to pass the 1.4 crore budget of this year without any discussion.
