Mangalore: The annual training camp of NCC Mangalore unit of 18 Karnataka Battalion is presently underway at the KPT Ground in Mangalore. The participation in this camp is mandatory for NCC Cades to be eligible for final exams.

The cadets underwent training on map reading, using weapons and firing to respond to field signal given by chief commander etc. They also participated in various activities like blood donation and cultural programmes.

The KPT ground almost resembled a battleground on Saturday when the cadets were trained on tackling war situation on the borders.

Nearly 500 cadets from as many as 23 high schools, pre-university and degree colleges took part in the camp. On conclusion of the camp, the cadets will be given A, B.C  certificates based on their performance.
