Mangalore: Sajid Akhtar(30), an Ayurvedic physician hailing from Chikmagalur, has died of rat fever at a private hospital in Mangalore. He was practicing in a clinic in Mangalore.

It is learnt, Akhtar who was suffering from fever ten days ago was admitted to a hospital and the fever was diagnosed as viral fever. However, when Akhtar  was back in Chikmagalur, his condition worsened and he  was again admitted to a hospital in Mangalore, where he died due to multi-organ failure.
