Bengaluru : Basava Kalyana Development Board Meeting chaired by Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa today approved the action plan for 2021-22.
Out of 134 works taken up by the board 76 works have been completed and 58 works are pending.
The State Government has earmarked Rs.500 crore for the Anubhava Mantapa Project and Rs.200 crore have been allocated during the current financial year. Anubhava Mantapa is coming up in an area of 101 acres of land. Philanthrophists has donated 11.25 acres of land freely and the rest 69 acres needs to be acquired from various farmers. However , the acquisition process has come to a halt as the farmers are demanding higher rates for their land. Chief Minister instructed the officials to acquire the land through mutual consent after negotiating about the relief to be provided for the land. He also directed the board officials to finalise the action plan including Rs.10 crore provided in this year’s budget. At present , Soil testing on the site and other works are under progress. It was directed to finalise the DPR while concluding the land acquisition process.
Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa accepted the suggestion of Eeshwar Khandre , MLA, Balki to hereafter invite all the legislators of the Bidar district to the board meeting.
The meeting also resolved to hold a State level negotiation meeting with the farmers who are parting with their land for the project.
Kaginele Development Authority Meeting
Kaginele Development Authority also held it’s meeting today under the chairmanship of B.S.Yediyurappa . Approval was given to the expenditure of Rs. 14 crore towards various works undertaken by the Authority. It was decided to open the Nature Cure Centre that has come up in Authority’s premises without further delay.
Sangolli Rayanna Area Development Authority Meeting
A meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yediyurappa approved action plan of Sangolli Rayanna Area Development Authority for the year 2021-22. The meeting also gave its approval for clearance of the pending bills to the tune of Rs.21 crore.
Rs.62 crore has been provided in this year’s budget for the activities of the Authority. The Authority has prepared an action plan involving an expenditure of Rs.279 crore and so far Rs.159 crore has been spent since 2017. The construction of Military school at Sangolli, birthplace of Rayanna has been completed. The Chief Minister instructed the Authority to the sign the MOU with the Defence Ministry in connection with starting of academic activities including the recruitment of teachers and other staff. He promised that he would speak to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in this connection.
The Chief Minister directed the authorities to complete the works of museum and rock garden at Nandagadh this year itself.
