Mangalore : The members of CITU staged an indefinite dharna in front of the Bharath Beedi office at Kadri on August 12, Tuesday, demanding hiked Dearness Allowance of Rs 21.15 from April 2014.

The protestors said that the managements were not working for the development of the workers and cheating them by not providing the DA due to them.

CITU Secretary J Balakrishna Shetty, South Canara Beedi Workers Federation Secretary V Seetaram Berinja and others were present.
