Mangaluru: Bharath Kumar Kumdelu, the main accused in the murder of SDPI leader, Muhammed Ashraf on June 21 at Benjanapadavu in Bantwal taluk arrested on Friday.

The Mangaluru Police have arrested a total of seven related to this case.

It is reported that Bharath, had shared the dais with Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat during a press meet few days before the murder.

The city crime branch police helped the Mangaluru police to arrest the main accused.

Ashraf, an auto driver was killed in broad daylight and the incident had created tension all over the Bantwal, Kalladka area.
