Karkala : A young bike rider lost his life after he lost control over his two-wheeler and fell down on the road after his two-wheeler hit a bison that was crossing the road near Kodange school in Mala village on the night of May 31.

The deceased is Rohith D’Mello(25) of Hukratte. The pillion rider Rolson D’Souza (23) has sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The two were on way to Bajagoli when the bison appeared all of a sudden. Rohith died on way to the hospital.
